13 - 16h Workshop: Zine Me Softly

Zine Me Softly invites visitors to make A4-sized woven pages using scrap fabric and chicken wire. Through simple weaving gestures, discarded textiles turn into small, tactile narratives, soft zine pages shaped by touch, rhythm, and shared Material.
Each woven page, unique and imperfect, becomes a personal document of time and memory. What one person cuts away becomes part of someone else’s work, forming a shared pool of cloth and stories. The process is intuitive, slow, and open to all. Participants are welcome to take their finished zine pages home.

Zurich-based artist Seda Hepsev works with embroidery, weaving, sculpture, and installation, exploring the body through monstrous, animal-like figures that defy orderly depictions. Her work often combines body parts, animals, distorted forms, and traditional motifs, evoking a delicate tension of fragility, incompleteness, and complexity.

13 - 14h Maleza

MALEZA, from the Spanish word for “weed”, names what is usually unwanted, invasive, or out of place. Yet MALEZA also signals resilience and persistence: life that grows where it has been denied. It breaks through concrete, disrupts control, and resists the violence of monoculture.

As part of volumes’s invitation to activate its archive, BROTE, SAE Greenhouse Lab, & Spontaneous Archives invite artists, farmers, scientists, cooks, caregivers, organizers, and all creators of self-published works to take part in MALEZA - a growing collection of publications rooted in agroecology, food politics, and collective resistance.

We welcome contributions rooted in lived experiences: stories of food sovereignty for collective liberation, relationalities with the land, cultivated solidarities, dignity and survival, struggles and resistance, and practices of repair, care and joy.

15 - 16h Joint Art Space: Explore Contemporary Iranian Art with Art Paper

We invite you to the presentation of Art Paper, a new publication by JAS that highlights remarkable contemporary artists and supports voices whose work deserves wider visibility but is often limited by geographic, political, or structural barriers.
Based in Europe, JAS works closely with artists across Iran in Tehran, Isfahan, and Qeshm, helping to bring their work to broader audiences. Art Paper extends this mission by offering a platform that combines images with the stories, ideas, and contexts behind the work.
The first issue goes beyond visuals. It features conversations, interviews, and curatorial reflections. Readers can discover insights from current exhibitions, explore intimate discussions on artistic practice and daily life, learn about ecological and socially engaged approaches, and take a close look at contemporary printmaking in Tehran. We hope you’ll join us to explore the project and reflect on how art can foster meaningful cultural connections.

17 - 18h Profundo Ediciones - sex work is work

“Sex work is work” is a photobook that compiles portraits taken by Inmensidades aka Rocio Zabala Saboundji to sex workers, between 2015 and 2025. The photobook has a prologue and an epilogue by mericrismas where she accompanies with some reflections about sex work.

Immensidades portrays, from a close look, desire and eroticism as an instrument of power in the hands of its workers in a capitalist world. This book is an ode of support to the collective of sex workers at the same time that it strongly criticizes the work itself: the book closes with the phrase “if something must be abolished, capitalism must be abolished”. The book is made by sex workers for sex workers.

The first edition of 200 risograph copies was released in April 2025 and is a collaboration between three publishers based in Berlin, Germany: Profundo, Gloria Glitzer and we make it.

18 - 19h Präsens Editionen / zweikommasieben: Digital discoveries - zweikommasieben’s new website

zweikommasieben is a contemporary music publication based in Switzerland, exploring the evolving landscape of sound, culture, and critical listening since 2011.

The publication is rooted in print, yet this November it introduces a new website designed to foster genuine, non-algorithmic musical discoveries online. The platform gathers almost 15 years of editorial work while embracing the possibilities of digital publishing.

In keeping with zweikommasieben’s editorial approach, which favours in-depth conversations over promotional blurbs, editor Mathis Neuhaus will speak with graphic designers Dorothee Dähler and Yeliz Secerli about the website’s design and functionalities. The session will be held in English and will include a visual presentation of the new website and its core features.

12 - 13h Veronica Arancibia, Marco-Antonio Grubben: Close cover before striking

two projects that emerged from the same course about creating archives

First Project:
Veronica Arancibia, Marco-Antonio Grubben - Close cover before striking

The publication Close Cover Before Striking serves three functions. It’s a curated selection of over 300 matchbooks and matchboxes found in Brockis, second-hand stores and flea-markets in Switzerland, Belgium and Germany. The first goal was to represent—as suggested by the subtitle—to size up the act of looking closely. A personal moment with the object is now enlarged, and the experience of a particular detail on the matchbook/box can be shared with others. The authors enlarged the moments that surprised and excited them. The second function is to collect (or recollect) socio-cultural snapshots that span five continents. The third function was to preserve and highlight the efforts of designers and illustrators who remained mostly anonymous. Our publication is a humble dedication to their design contributions.

Second Project:
Desirée Solenberger/Jules Hoogkamer - Malware

Presentation of the book Malware — software designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system. Unstable, and often harmful, malware is difficult to preserve and undesirable to store. The book is a counter archive and collects the underside of technological advancement.

13 - 14h OtherEyes - Für einen Urwald in Westeuropa

Presentation of the new OtherEyes book about the Association Francis Hallé and other NGOs fighting for rewilding forest landscapes

Primeval forests that have never been exploited by humans are natural treasures and summits of biodiversity. Their value is immeasurable. However, they have disappeared from Europe since 1850. Why should we accept this situation?
The Association Francis Hallé pour la forêt primaire is committed to creating a large area (approx. 70,000 hectares) where a forest left to evolve freely can renew and develop its fauna and flora without any human intervention over a period of several centuries.
Activists across Europe are now campaigning for such long-term ecological spaces. These include the NGO Wild Card from England, which, through campaigns such as “Rewild the Church”, is calling on landowners of entire landscapes to take responsibility and raising public awareness of the potential of climate-relevant land use. 15 - 16h Teti Group

The interdisciplinary study group on textures and experiences of trans-industriality explores the changing imaginaries of our global/glocal societies at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries. Teti group favours enquiries into trans-disciplinary commonalities,  and investigates the potency of ideas as they migrate from one body of practice into another. Teti Press provides an in-house platform to develop similar transdisciplinary projects, favoring cross-boundary exchange of knowledge engaging with industrial and cultural transformations of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with the capacity to reflect on and inform pressing contemporary socio-political debates, while acknowledging the historical roots of these contemporary negotiations, longue durée, and the spectral survivals of the past into the present. Of prime interest to Teti Press are the ideas of translation, intermediality, the palimpsest, and polyphony

16 – 17h MACACO PRESS Book LAUNCH

17 – 18h edition clandestin - "Daughterland" by Ruth E. Herzka

The artist Ruth E. Herzka explores her family history, seeking those who are absent or have been lost. She focuses artistically on her grandmothers, whom she never knew, and travels to the countries her grandfathers first came from. As a member of the second generation after the Shoah, she takes us with her on a search for traces, forging a bridge to the world of today.

18 – 19h Ivan Liuzzo & Simone Spampinato - Rework of Alvin Lucier "Gentle Fire"

Gentle Fire Basel

Dito Publishing, 2025  // Gentle Fire Basel is a rework by Ivan Liuzzo and Simone Spampinato initiated in 2021, based on Alvin Lucier’s composition Gentle Fire (1971). The piece consists in transforming a sound image, present in a list, into another sound image, part of a second list. Following this process, included in Lucier’s original score, Ivan Liuzzo and Simone Spampinato decided to extend and rework the composition into a series, in which each version focuses, evaluates and explores sound images in specific spaces/places. The transformations of the ‘sound images’ are recorded within their contextual environment, seen as ‘instruments’ that dialogue with the space. The book contains photographs by Tzuchi Su, who reinterpreted the path taken during the sound source recording phase, and two essays by Emiliano Turazzi, and Daniela Gentile.
